Canine Beach: Enjoy Fort Lauderdale Beach with your pooch Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 3-7pm, November through March and 3-9pm April through October. Canine Beach area is located approximately near the second set of parking spaces north of Sunrise Blvd. on A1A.

Annual permits must be purchased in-person at Parks & Recreation Administration located at Holiday Park, 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive, Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Annual renewals may be handled by mail.

To obtain a dog permit, the pet owner must provide a current hard copy certificate of vaccination and valid proof of City of Fort Lauderdale residency at time of application. Permit required.

Annual Permit Fees (January 1 to December 31):
$30 per dog (Fort Lauderdale Residents)
$45 per dog (Non-Residents)
$5 Lost permit replacement

One-Weekend Permit (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday):
$7 per dog

Snyder Park: Snyder Park is a large park with activities for humans as well as dogs. Dogs are only allowed in the swim area of the park, so be aware that they are not allowed in all areas of the park.

Holiday Dog Park: The park sits on a 1.5-acre fenced parcel north of the War Memorial Museum. It’s accessible through the parking lot near the roller hockey rinks.
The secure space allows dogs to exercise, run, and play freely. Small dogs are allocated 12,500 square feet. Large canines can run on 48,000 square feet.
